Q - Are their tea and coffee making facilities available?

A – Tea and coffee making facilities are available either in bedrooms or in small kitchens shared by guests.

 

Q – Are towels provided?

A – Yes, towel are provided for each guest, bedrooms are serviced on a daily basis and towels changed as required.

 

Q – Is there WiFi?

A – WiFi is available in all residences via BT Openzone and it is free of charge.

 

Q – I am going to a wedding can I check in early?

A – If your room is ready we will do our best to accommodate you, if room is not ready we can provide you with somewhere to store your luggage.  Please contact the residence to check if early check in is possible.

 

Q – Do you have an iron/ironing board for guest use?

A – Ironing facilities are available in each residence, please see guest information in room for further details.

 

Q – Do you have a hairdryer I can use?

A – We have a number of hairdryers for guest use and these can be collected from reception/office.

 

Q – Can we check out late?

A – Late check-out may be available in some residences depending on whether your room is required for a guest arriving later that day.  Please ask at reception/office for the availability of late check-out.

 

Q – Do you have cots/travel cots for babies and small children?

A – We have a small number of travel cots available for use, please enquire at time of booking and we will reserve one for you if available.  Please note we do not provide linen for travel cot.

 

 

Self-Catering FAQ

 

Q – What time can we check in and is early check in available?

A – Normal check in time is 2pm, if your apartment is ready we will do our best to accommodate you, if apartment is not ready we can provide you with somewhere to store your luggage.  Please contact reception to see if early check in is possible.

 

Q – What time do we have to check out and is late check-out available?

A – Normal check out time is 10am, it may be possible to stay later depending on when apartment is needed, please contact reception to check if late check-out is available.

 

Q – What is provided in the kitchens?

A – Basic cooking equipment including pans, mixing bowl, casserole dish are provided as well as crockery, glassware and cutlery for 6.

 

Q – What sort of cleaning service is provided?

A – Flats are cleaned for arrival with beds made and towels.  There is no cleaning service for stays of less than 1 week, if you are staying for more than 1 week we will change beds and empty rubbish.

Q - What is the maximum occupancy per apartment?

A – The apartments can accommodate up to 10 people including babies and small children.  Please note that Visit Scotland recommend a maximum of 6 guests per apartment.  Each apartment had 5 bedrooms, we have a limited amount of apartments which have one twin bedroom all other apartments have 5 double bedrooms.

 

Q – Will you require access to our apartment during our stay?

A – We will endeavour to keep disturbances to a minimum, however we may need to enter your apartment to carry our checks as part of our health and safety programme, e.g. to check emergency lights or fire doors.  Our staff will always knock and will be identifiable by uniform.  If you have any concerns please contact reception.

 

Q – Is there WiFi?

A – WiFi is available in all residences, it is provided by BT WiFi and is chargeable unless you have an account which provides access to BT WiFi.

 

Q – How are apartment buildings laid out?

A – David Russell Apartments reception is located in our central facilities building which also houses the bar and bistro.  The apartments are a short walk from reception, it is not possible to park right outside the buildings the car park is 3-4 minutes’ walk from the buildings.  Each building has 11 – 12 apartments over 4 floors.  There is no lift.  All apartments have en-suite showers.
